Hi-Tech Foam was started in 1988 in a small shop in Roodepoort. The original members were John Conradie and Fazel Ismail. At the end of 1988 the shares of Mr. Fazel Ismail were bought by the Conradie family and the factory was relocated to Chamdor, Krugersdorp. We started off with two workers serving mainly the re-upholstery and motor trimming industries. Our business grew over the next ten years and we employed forty people by 1998. The core business was still foam converting, but we also started manufacturing innerspring mattresses and base sets. In 2003 the innerspring operation was sold and a deliberate effort was made to change our core business from foam converting to the production of value added consumable products. We currently employ over 90 people and have established ourselves well in various consumable markets; e.g. pot scourers, sponges, ironing board covers, sport equipment and various other fields. The business is currently managed by John Conradie, Managing Member, with Johann Conradie, General Manager, and Yolande Beukes, HR and special projects. Our very competent sales and production teams assure that we offer outstanding quality and deliveries at very competitive prices. It is our mission to offer our customers the best possible products and service at the most competitive prices, assuring our profitability to sustain long term service to them.
